Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Remedy Education are looking for a confident and experienced HLTA to join a supportive school based in Enfield.

This role is specifically for a qualified or experienced HLTA, so applicants must have previous HLTA experience or a recognised HLTA qualification. The school are looking for someone who can confidently cover classes, support learning across the school and work closely with teachers and senior leaders.

Role Details:

Position: HLTA
Location: Enfield
Pay: £120-£140 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP / September start available
School Type: Primary / Secondary / SEN School

The Role:

As an HLTA, you will:

* Deliver planned lessons and cover classes when required
* Support pupils on a 1:1, small group and whole-class basis
* Work closely with teachers to prepare resources and support learning
* Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
* Support pupils with additional learning, emotional or behavioural needs
* Lead interventions to help improve pupil progress and confidence
* Provide feedback to teachers and senior staff on pupil engagement and development
* Help create a calm, structured and inclusive school environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* HLTA qualification or strong previous HLTA experience
* Experience covering classes and leading learning activities
* Previous experience working in a school setting
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Confidence supporting pupils with different learning needs
* A calm, organised and proactive approach
* The ability to work well with teachers, support staff and senior leaders
* A valid enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one

Please note, this role requires an experienced HLTA. Candidates without HLTA experience or a recognised HLTA qualification will not be suitable for this position.
