HLTA / Cover Supervisor – Primary School
Salary: £120–£130 per day
Year Groups: Reception to Year 6
Role: HLTA / Cover Supervisor
Teach Now is recruiting a confident and adaptable HLTA / Cover Supervisor to provide high-quality classroom cover across Reception to Year 6.
The role will involve covering PPA, leadership release, training and staff absences, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning across the school. When cover is not required, you will be based in Year 6, supporting pupils and the class teacher.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across Reception to Year 6.
- Lead whole classes confidently and independently.
- Maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment with strong behaviour management.
- Adapt quickly to different year groups and classroom routines.
- Mark pupils work in line with school expectations.
- Support Year 6 pupils and staff when not providing cover.
The school is looking for someone who:
- Is confident managing and teaching a whole class.
- Has strong behaviour management and classroom presence.
- Is flexible and comfortable moving between year groups.
- Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils.
- Ideally has previous class-cover experience in a primary setting.
