Highways Contract Manager
The purpose of this role is to undertake the delegated role of NEC Service Manager for the County Councils Highways contracts, with an annual value of £30m-£50m. You will ensure contracts are delivered in accordance with NEC terms and conditions, overseeing service performance, payments and contract compliance while demonstrating value for money for the communities of the County and effectively managing risk.

Key Responsibilities
·Act as the delegated NEC Service Manager for major highways maintenance contracts.
·Oversee the delivery of highways contracts, ensuring compliance with contract conditions, service requirements, performance standards and payment mechanisms.
·Work collaboratively with internal teams and external supply chain partners to identify opportunities for innovation, service improvements and revenue cost savings.
·Support the Head of Highway Maintenance in developing and delivering the strategic vision for the Highways Operations team.
·Drive continuous improvement by embedding effective business processes and performance management systems across Highway Operations and Management.
·Establish challenging performance targets, monitor progress and report on contract performance.
·Ensure contracts deliver value for money while balancing commercial, operational and contractual risks.
 
Previous experience within Highways is essential for this position.
