Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for infrastructure and safety? We are actively seeking a talented Highways Projects Supervisor to join our clients dynamic team in East Sussex. This is a high-priority recruitment, and we are looking to expedite the hiring process to get the right person on board as soon as possible.



Role Overview

As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating highways project works from planning through to completion. You will provide essential site-based leadership, setting teams and subcontractors to work safely while ensuring projects are delivered to programme and meet our high-quality standards.



Responsibilities

  • Lead site teams in delivering highway maintenance and improvement schemes, including surfacing, drainage, and paving.
  • Ensure all operatives and subcontractors are set to work safely with clear task briefings and robust risk controls.
  • Maintain daily site records, progress updates, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and the public, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Identify and manage site constraints, ensuring defects are addressed promptly to maintain "right-first-time" delivery.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in supervising site teams within highways, civils, or infrastructure environments.
  • Relevant supervisory qualifications (such as SSSTS or SMSTS) and a valid CSCS card.
  • NRSWA Supervisor accreditation for street works.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to Zero Harm and inclusive team working.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Primarily a Monday to Friday role, 8.5 hours per day paid at £32 per hour. Some nights with a shift premium
