An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hire Coordinator to join a fast-growing materials handling and equipment solutions business.
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day hire and sales administration functions, ensuring customers receive a high level of service and that all hire and sales activity is processed accurately and efficiently.
This is a varied administrative role working closely with customers, suppliers, transport providers, service teams and sales colleagues.
The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and customer-focused, with previous experience within plant, equipment, hire or a similar industry.

Daily responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the day-to-day short-term hire activity, including scheduling and customer communication.
  • Arrange transport and deliveries for hired equipment.
  • Prepare and issue quotations and process hire invoices.
  • Support sales administration, including preparing sales packs and purchase orders.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding equipment orders and deliveries.
  • Update and maintain accurate equipment and customer records on internal systems and CRM.
  • Process equipment invoices and assist with third-party finance and sale/buyback arrangements.
  • Ensure all hire and sales administration is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Develop relationships with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers for cross-hire opportunities.
  • Build strong customer relationships and deal with queries or issues promptly.
  • Work closely with the service and sales teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
  • Use CRM and business systems effectively and contribute to process improvements.
  • Work towards agreed hire and sales KPIs.

Experience you will need:
  • Previous experience within plant, equipment, machinery or vehicle hire environment. 
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both over the telephone and face-to-face.
  • Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 and CRM/business management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team.
  • A customer-focused approach with the confidence to resolve queries and issues.
  • Previous experience within a hire, service or similar environment.

Package:
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexibility between 07:00–18:00.
