Key Responsibilities:
As a Hire Desk Controller, you'll manage customer enquiries, bookings and equipment availability while coordinating deliveries and collections.
- Handle hire enquiries and understand customer equipment requirements
- Process bookings, quotations and hire documentation accurately
- Check equipment availability and allocate plant
- Coordinate deliveries and collections with drivers and depot teams
- Keep customers updated throughout the hire process
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues
- Maintain accurate hire system records
- Build strong relationships with new and existing customers
What we're looking for:
We're looking for someone with relevant industry experience who enjoys working with customers and thrives in a busy environment.
- Experience in cranes, lifting, powered access or plant hire
- Previous experience as a hire controller or similar
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and customer service
- Confident working under pressure
- Good IT skills and ability to use hire management systems
