About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Major Account Customer Hire & Sales Coordinator to join a busy and fast-paced team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who thrives on building relationships, coordinating multiple requests, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Acting as a key point of contact for major account customers, you will manage hire and sales enquiries from initial request through to completion, ensuring service level agreements are met and customers receive a seamless experience at every stage.
Working closely with customers, suppliers, account managers, and operational teams, you will play a vital role in supporting business growth while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of customer hire and sales requirements from enquiry through to fulfilment.
- Manage multiple customer accounts, ensuring service level agreements and response times are consistently achieved.
- Process quotations, contracts, and orders accurately using company systems.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Source equipment and services from both internal divisions and approved external suppliers.
- Negotiate delivery schedules, availability, and rates where appropriate.
- Monitor ongoing enquiries and projects, ensuring customers are kept informed throughout the process.
- Handle customer enquiries, breakdown requests, off-hires, and service issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Liaise with operational teams to ensure equipment availability and service expectations are met.
- Escalate and communicate any service concerns or operational challenges to relevant stakeholders.
- Produce accurate reports and account updates for account managers and leadership teams.
- Ensure all customer information, contracts, and records are maintained accurately.
- Identify opportunities for additional sales, cross-selling, and enhanced customer support.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
About You

- Previous experience within account management, customer service, sales support, hire control, coordination, logistics, or administration.
