Are you an engaging, resilient, and passionate History Teacher looking for a rewarding role where you can truly transform student outcomes? We are currently seeking a dedicated educator to join a progressive Alternative Provision (AP) setting in Burnley.
In this role, you will work with small class sizes supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who benefit from a flexible, bespoke approach to education. If you have a knack for connecting with young people, managing challenging behaviours with empathy, and making history relevant and exciting, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative History lessons tailored to students with diverse learning needs and barriers to education.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and curiosity.
- Track student progress, adapt teaching strategies, and collaborate closely with specialised pastoral support teams.
- Build strong, professional rapport with students to boost confidence, self-esteem, and academic retention.

Requirements:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification (ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply).
- Specialist subject knowledge in History.
- Previous experience or a strong desire to work within SEND, SEMH, or Alternative Provision environments.
- Exceptional classroom management skills, resilience, and a patient, adaptable approach.
