History Teacher

Vision for Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Blackpool, Lancashire to recruit a dedicated Teacher of History. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and join a supportive school community on a long-term basis.

Vision for Education is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of History for a long-term maternity cover position in Blackpool, Lancashire. The successful Teacher of History will join the school from September 2026 and continue in the role until May 2027.

As a Teacher of History in Blackpool, Lancashire, you will:

• Deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and assess learning in line with the national curriculum
• Inspire students to develop a passion for History
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Monitor progress and support students to achieve their potential
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents

To be considered for this Teacher of History role in Blackpool, Lancashire, you will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Have experience teaching History in a secondary school setting
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
• Have excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Be committed to raising standards and pupil outcomes
• Be able to provide suitable references and complete an enhanced DBS check
