Humly are recruiting for a confident HLTA, newly qualified teacher / ECT or experienced teacher to provide PPA cover across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 at a primary school in Darwen from September 2026.

This part-time PPA cover role is ideal for someone experienced in leading whole-class learning, delivering planned lessons and supporting pupils across different primary year groups. You’ll be covering classes every Tuesday and Wednesday, helping keep learning on track while class teachers have PPA time.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be supporting the school with:

• PPA cover across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• Leading planned lessons across different primary year groups
• Supporting pupils in KS1 and KS2 with classroom learning
• Managing classroom routines and positive behaviour
• Delivering literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities
• Helping pupils stay focused, confident and engaged
• Working closely with class teachers and the wider primary school team

You’ll Be a Good Fit If You…

• Are a HLTA, Higher Level Teaching Assistant, newly qualified teacher / ECT or experienced teacher
• Are confident leading whole-class learning
• Have experience supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2
• Can deliver planned lessons and adapt to different classrooms
• Have strong behaviour management and clear classroom routines
• Are reliable and able to commit to Tuesday and Wednesday each week
• Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to apply for one
• Are willing to complete Humly’s safeguarding and compliance process before placement
