TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a highly respected independent specialist education provider in Isleworth, London, seeking a dedicated HLTA to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time, five-days-per-week, one-to-one support role, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the educational journey of a young adult with additional learning needs.

Staff work together to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where every learner is encouraged to reach their full potential. With modern facilities, specialist resources and a strong emphasis on developing independence, communication and life skills, this is an excellent opportunity to join a passionate and forward-thinking team in Isleworth, London.

As an HLTA, you will provide dedicated one-to-one support while working closely with teachers to deliver engaging learning activities that enable your learner to access education successfully. You will adapt learning approaches to suit individual needs, encourage independence, promote positive behaviour and help students develop the confidence and life skills needed for success both inside and outside the classroom.

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the wider support team, you will help create practical, motivating learning experiences tailored to each learner's strengths and needs. This role would suit someone who is patient, adaptable, proactive and passionate about supporting young people with autism and additional needs to achieve meaningful outcomes and prepare for life beyond education.

The successful HLTA will have:

  • Experience working as an HLTA, Teaching Assistant or within a specialist education setting
  • Experience supporting children or young adults with SEND, autism or additional learning needs
  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach with excellent behaviour management skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for helping young people develop confidence, independence and life skills
