Are you an experienced and passionate Care Home Manager looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a dedicated leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our nursing home, ensuring the delivery of outstanding person-centred care while driving commercial success and regulatory excellence.

The Role
As Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the management and performance of the home. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets all regulatory requirements, whilst maintaining full occupancy and achieving financial objectives.
You will be supported by dedicated Operations and Central Support teams, alongside an experienced Deputy Manager, Administrator, Hospitality Team, and Housekeeping Team, all working collaboratively to provide exceptional care and service to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inspirational leadership to the home's staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion, dignity, and respect.
- Ensure the home consistently meets and exceeds all regulatory standards, including those set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Drive continuous improvement and work towards achieving and maintaining Outstanding CQC ratings.
- Manage the home's budget effectively, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are utilised efficiently.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to maintain full occupancy and enhance the home's local reputation.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred care tailored to their individual needs and preferences.
- Monitor quality assurance processes and implement improvements where required.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and continuous professional development.
- Actively contribute to the growth, development, and future success of the service.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills, commercial awareness, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Home Manager within a residential or nursing care setting.
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- A successful track record of leading teams and delivering high-quality care outcomes.
- Commercially minded with experience managing budgets and driving occupancy levels.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with residents, families, colleagues, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care.
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing and business development initiatives within the private care sector.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and achieving excellence in care delivery.
Qualifications
- Ideally, NMC Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration experience (desirable but not essential).
- Relevant leadership or management qualifications within health and social care are advantageous.
