Registered Home Manager - Lymington - £70,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Home Manager to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of a 56 bed high-quality care home.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred care and who can lead, develop and motivate a dedicated team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the service operates to the highest standards, remains fully compliant with CQC regulations and delivers an exceptional experience for residents, their families and staff.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the staff team, creating a positive culture focused on kindness, dignity and person-centred care.
  • Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the home.
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, legislation, policies and best practice.
  • Monitor and continuously improve the quality and safety of care provided to residents.
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial targets are achieved and resources are used efficiently.
  • Drive occupancy and support the commercial success and continued growth of the service.
  • Develop positive relationships with residents, relatives, professionals and other key stakeholders.
  • Respond effectively to concerns, complaints and feedback, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Recruit, manage, motivate and develop staff, promoting high standards of performance and accountability.
  • Work closely with senior management and central support teams to achieve operational and quality objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement and implement effective action plans.
  • Ensure the service maintains a strong focus on resident wellbeing, independence and quality of life.


About You

  • Previous experience managing a residential or nursing care home.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience of maintaining and improving care quality and compliance.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and working towards occupancy and financial targets.
  • Experience of building effective relationships with families, professionals and external stakeholders.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Confident, proactive and able to take ownership of the overall performance of a home.
  • Experience of working towards achieving an Outstanding CQC rating would be highly desirable.
  • NMC registration and nursing experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
