BDS have a fantastic opportunity for a housing support worker in Exeter

Hours per Week: 37

Expected Length of Contract: Temp ongoing to start ASAP

Salary Details: £15.34 per hour PAYE plus hol pay or £19.64 per hour umbrella

BDS Recruitment are looking for a Housing Support Worker to work with veterans and others who have been homeless or facing homelessness.

The successful candidate will provide a holistic and positive approach to solution focussed support.

Your workload will be around 5 - 6 customers at any one time, which will give you the time and capacity to provide a high quality service. You will be a part of a larger team, who support people with complex needs in the Honiton area.

As a Housing Support Worker, you will be working closely with other agencies around specific needs including mental health, substance misuse, benefits, private letting agents and landlords and/or others and exploring options around education, training and employment. You will need to write, review and update support plans and risk assessments and take a positive approach towards risk management.

Experience in a similar role would be desirable, however what is most important is having a passion for helping people in the local community. A current enhanced DBS check will be required.

A car driver is preferable and all mileage is paid.
