The Opportunity
As Horticultural Operations Lead, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the wholesale operation, ensuring customers receive outstanding service while maintaining the highest standards of plant quality and operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on role where you'll take responsibility for everything from customer sales and stock management through to production planning, transport coordination, and nursery presentation.
You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, drivers, and nursery teams to ensure products are grown, maintained, sold, and delivered to the highest possible standards.
About You
We're looking for a practical, commercially minded horticultural professional who enjoys balancing customer interaction with operational responsibility.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience within wholesale horticulture, nursery production, or commercial growing
- Strong plant knowledge and a genuine passion for horticulture
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience coordinating stock, logistics, or operational activities
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach to work
Desirable
- Horticultural qualifications
- Forklift licence
- PA1 and PA6 certificates
- Experience in transport or dispatch coordination

Package
Salary £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
