Horticultural Services Assistant in Colney

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Horticultural Services Assistant to join their team on a short-term temporary assignment expected to last around four weeks.
This is a hands-on role supporting horticultural operations and would suit someone with previous experience working with plants who is looking for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Disposal of plant waste
  • Cleaning and preparation of growing areas
  • Supporting plant care activities including staking, tying and re-potting
  • Assisting with general horticultural duties as required
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout growing environments
Candidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with plants is essential
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Reliable and flexible approach to work
Experience within a customer-facing or research environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
