Are you a passionate Catering Teacher looking for a part-time opportunity from September?
We are working with a SEN secondary school in Middlesbrough who are looking for a dedicated Catering Teacher to join their Technology Department on a 0.3 timetable.
The RoleAs a Catering Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Food & Catering lessons
- Teach students across the relevant Key Stages
- Develop students' practical cooking and food preparation skills
- Support students in developing their knowledge of nutrition, food science and healthy eating
- Prepare students effectively for assessments and examinations where required
- Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, safety and practical working
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Technology Department
The school is looking for someone who:
- Has experience teaching Food Technology, Catering or Food Preparation & Nutrition
- Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has strong subject knowledge and practical experience
- Can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
- Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Is committed to supporting students' progress and development
- Can work effectively as part of a wider Technology team
- Is available for a 0.3 timetable from September
