About the Role Working alongside our Hospitality Manager/Chef, you will support the preparation and service of meals for hostel residents, café customers and community events. You will help create safe, welcoming environments, maintain high standards of hygiene and customer care, and ensure everyone receives a positive dining experience. 

Your responsibilities will include:
  • PreparingandservingmealsinourhostelandBeaconCafé.
  • Supportingcommunitymealsandspecialevents.
  • Maintainingexcellentfoodhygiene,healthandsafetystandards.
  • Supportingstockmanagement,deliveriesandfoodstorage.
  • Providingoutstandingcustomerservicetoresidents,volunteersandvisitors.
  • Workingaspartofarota-basedteamacrosssevendays,includingweekendsandbankholidays.
AboutYou We are looking for someone who:
  • Hasexperienceincatering,hospitality,foodserviceoracaféenvironment.
  • Understandsfoodhygieneandsafefoodhandlingpractices.
  • Providesexcellentcustomerservicewithafriendlyandapproachablemanner.
  • Workswellaspartofateamandcanmanageabusyworkload.
  • Communicateseffectivelywithpeoplefromdiversebackgrounds.
  • Isreliable,flexibleandcommittedtolearninganddevelopment.

A Food Safety Level 2 qualification, experience supporting community meals, or experience working with vulnerable people would be an advantage, although training and support will be provided.
