Kerry Robert Associates are delighted to be partnering with a hotel located in one of the most vibrant cities in Cameroon in the search for a General Manager.
The successful Hotel General Manager will ensure the optimal management of the real estate, financial, and human resources to offer a high quality experience to customers, and to guarantee the financial stability of the hotel.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets
- Manage daily operations across all departments, ensuring service quality standards
- Create and monitor departmental budgets while controlling operational costs
- Recruit, train and develop staff while maintaining optimal staffing levels
- Build relationships with guests and handle escalated complaints professionally
- Analyse performance metrics and implement improvements based on data insights
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with the Managing Director on improvements and property enhancements
The ideal candidate must have:
- 5+ years of hotel management experience with leadership responsibilities in renowned international groups
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and managing P&L statements
- Strong knowledge of property management systems and hotel operations software
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Master's degree in hospitality or business
- Experience with brand standards and quality assurance programs
- Certification from hospitality associations or management training programs
- Fluency in French and English is essential
