JOB: Hotel Sales Manager 

Salary: up to £40,000 plus bonus

Location:  Bournemouth 


Are you a proactive and motivated Hotel Sales Manager looking for an exciting opportunity with an expanding group of hotels in the local area? 


Purpose of the Role as Hotel Sales Manager

To develop and execute strategic proactive sales initiatives to drive revenue, increase brand visibility, and expand market share for the hotels. This role plays a key part in maximising bedroom occupancy, conference, event & group bookings, and overall profitability through targeted campaigns and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities of the Hotel Sales Manager 


Sales Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement proactive sales strategies to secure new business in leisure, corporate, group, and MICE segments, whilst supporting with the wedding market.
• Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities the hotels and wider group across all market segments focusing on the local area but supporting across the UK and Internationally with the support of the national sales team.
• Conduct regular sales calls, site visits, and attend trade shows or networking events to promote the hotel. Evening working, overnight and weekend travel may be required due to business needs.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
• Work with and support the reservations & reception teams on lead generation and to convert prospect and tentative bookings
• Focus on developing new business and managing and developing existing accounts to ensure annual budgets to be met and exceeded.
• Communicate guest feedback and requests to relevant departments.
• Negotiate rates, contracts, and packages in line with hotel revenue goals.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, client database, salesforce KPIs and generate sales activity reports.
• To achieve personal and department targets as set by Group Sales & Business Development Director
• Plan & co host monthly hospitality events for the corporate segment: to include local bookers, utilising the arrival reports and GDS tools with the intention of thanking current corporates and looking for new opportunities
• Analysis of arrival and new reservation reports to identify new opportunity. To identify new corporate clients from Hotelligence Agency 360 reporting
• Host client and familiarisation events. This will include evenings and weekends. Conduct site inspections and client presentations where required.
• Actively promote the hotel through local industry associations and networking groups
