Housekeeper/Domestic Cleaning in Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Ashberry recruitment are looking for a Housekeeper / Domestic Cleaner to join an an extra care housing scheme that provides independent living apartments and on-site personal care services for older adults.

PLEASE NOTE-  No support/care services are required for this role. 

This is a hands-on role focused on keeping the service clean, safe and well maintained for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning communal areas and shared spaces

• Mopping and vacuuming floors

• Dusting and wiping down surfaces

• Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and other areas of the service

• Emptying bins and taking rubbish to the appropriate areas

• Keeping cleaning equipment and supplies organised

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

• Reporting any maintenance, cleaning or health and safety issues

• Supporting the overall upkeep and presentation of the service

• Following relevant cleaning, hygiene and health & safety procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable and hardworking

• Friendly and respectful towards elderly residents

• Able to work independently and manage their workload

• Comfortable carrying out regular cleaning and domestic duties

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable, but not essential

DBS Requirement

Candidates must have an Enhanced Adults DBS to work within the service.
