Housing Community Safety Officer

Housing Community Safety Officer required on a temporary to permanent basis, to join a small, close-knit team, who work extremely hard to provide customer focused housing community safety for residents. Working 37 hours a week, Monday - Friday, the salary will be £34,434.

Candidates applying for this role will have exceptional communication skills, with empathy but the ability to be firm, and remain implicitly organised.

Duties:

• Work collaboratively with Tenancy Services Officers to deliver responsive and effective anti-social behaviour and community safety service to manage residents' expectations
• Manage anti-social behaviour caseload of issues
• Gather and review intelligence and evidence, including CCTV to identify anti-social behaviour and or criminal activity
• Carry out visits to residents' homes, undertaking door knocking excises, surveys, and community events offering advice and assistance in relation to community safety and where necessary, escalate enforcement action
• Escalate cases
• Compose statements and prepare documentation that can be used in formal and legal action
• Provide to victims of anti-social behaviour including attendance at Court
• A range of additional tasks provided upon agency registration

Experience required:

• Able to use lifts, climb up to 15 floors of stairs, and not afraid of heights
• Knowledge or experience in housing, anti-social behaviour, community services are advantageous, however not essential
• Previous Administrative experience is beneficial
• A car driver with own transport is essential
• Good Microsoft IT skills, organised, and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, with empathy but the ability to be firm
• Ability to multi-task a busy workload
• Ability to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasks
