As part of the role, youll also receive a fully funded CIH Level 3 qualification, helping you continue to grow your career within housing.

The Role

As a Housing Officer, you'll be responsible for delivering an excellent tenancy management service across a portfolio of housing schemes for older residents. You'll build positive relationships with tenants, ensure tenancy obligations are met, and work proactively to sustain tenancies and resolve housing related issues.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing a designated patch of properties across Birmingham.
• Delivering a comprehensive tenancy management service.
• Conducting tenancy visits and estate inspections.
• Managing tenancy sign-ups, successions, transfers, and terminations.
• Handling low level ASB and tenancy breaches.
• Supporting rent collection through effective tenancy management.

Were looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in a Housing Officer or tenancy management role within social housing.
• Strong knowledge of tenancy management legislation and best practice.
• Experience managing ASB, tenancy breaches, and tenancy sustainment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.

This role is focused on tenancy management. Applicants must have experience within housing management or tenancy management.
