Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing Officer to join a specialist Housing Association providing supported housing for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

This is a field-based role covering a patch across North London and Hertfordshire, including areas such as:

  • Enfield
  • Hillingdon
  • Stevenage
  • Watford
  • Surrounding North London & Hertfordshire locations

You'll take ownership of your own patch, working closely with residents, support providers and external agencies to deliver a high-quality housing management service.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working independently, can confidently manage a busy caseload and is comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.



Responsibilities

  • Manage a patch of supported housing properties
  • Complete tenancy sign-ups and tenancy sustainment visits
  • Carry out estate inspections and home visits
  • Investigate and manage ASB and tenancy breaches
  • Manage voids and lettings
  • Support Housing Benefit applications and tenancy-related queries
  • Monitor rent accounts and work alongside income teams
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals
  • Coordinate repairs with contractors and internal teams
  • Build strong relationships with support providers, local authorities and external agencies
  • Maintain accurate housing records and ensure compliance with housing legislation


Essential Experience

  • Previous experience working as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer or Tenancy Officer
  • Housing Association or Social Housing experience
  • Strong tenancy management experience
  • Experience managing ASB cases
  • Estate inspections
  • Safeguarding knowledge
  • Rent arrears and tenancy sustainment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload


Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Access to your own vehicle
  • Willingness to travel across North London and Hertfordshire
  • Right to work in the UK
