Are you passionate about helping people and making a difference in your local community?
We are looking for a compassionate, organised and customer-focused Housing Options Assistant to join our Housing Options and Homelessness Team. About the Role
As a Housing Options Assistant, you will provide administrative and customer service support within a busy and rewarding environment. This is a varied role that requires strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure. You will work closely with Housing Officers and the wider Housing Options Team, providing timely and accurate information, supporting day-to-day operations and, where required, accompanying officers on visits to assist with crisis duties.
About You
We are looking for someone who has previous experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook, together with strong administration and communication skills. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines and maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Experience of working with vulnerable individuals or customer groups would be advantageous, although we are equally interested in candidates who demonstrate empathy, resilience and a genuine commitment to supporting others.
The successful candidate will be friendly, adaptable and proactive, with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to deliver excellent customer service.
