Housing Solutions Officer

We are currently looking for an experienced Housing Solutions Officer to join a busy Housing Solutions service. The role will focus on providing front-line housing advice, assessing Housing Register applications and supporting statutory reviews and complex housing cases.

The Role
·Providing housing advice to customers by telephone, email and face-to-face.
·Assessing and maintaining Housing Register applications under Part VI of the Housing Act 1996.
·Making statutory decisions in line with the Allocation Scheme and relevant legislation.
·Registering and supporting statutory housing reviews.
·Supporting complaints, MP/Councillor enquiries and complex housing cases.
·Liaising with Legal Services, solicitors and partner agencies.
·Maintaining accurate case records across housing systems.

Key Requirements
·Experience within Housing Solutions, Housing Needs or Allocations.
·Experience assessing Housing Register applications.
·Good knowledge of Part VI of the Housing Act 1996.
·Knowledge of Part VII would be advantageous.
·Experience providing front-line housing advice.
·Experience using housing systems such as Locata, I-World or similar.
