Key Responsibilities of a Housing Support Officer:
- Providing 1:1 housing support to young adults and care leavers
- Supporting residents to maintain tenancies and develop independent living skills
- Creating, reviewing and updating support plans
- Offering guidance around welfare benefits and housing benefits
- Signposting to relevant services and agencies
- Maintaining accurate records and case notes
- Working in line with safeguarding and organisational policies
- Previous experience providing housing support or similar support work
- Strong understanding of support planning and tenancy sustainment
- Knowledge of welfare benefits and housing-related support
- Ability to build positive, professional relationships with young people
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Competitive pay rate of £18 per hour
- Daytime hours: 9am – 4pm
- Initial temporary role open for extension
