Hours: 22.2 hours per week over 3 days on a rolling rota between 8.30am and 8.30pm
Contract: 6 month fixed term with potential for extension
Salary: £15.36 per hour paye or £19.64 per hour via umbrella

BDS Recruitment are looking for an experienced Housing Support Worker to work in the centre of Penryn. The complex consists of 6 shared flats up to 12 residents.
The role will include supporting vulnerable tenants who may have a history of mental health issues, substance misuse or homelessness to maintain their tenancies and live independently.
Key duties:
- Providing responsive, person-centred assistance to individuals with complex needs, helping them achieve positive outcomes and independence.
- Build open and trusting relationships with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies to ensure seamless and comprehensive support.
- Encourage individuals to engage in social, educational and employment opportunities, preventing isolation and promoting self-determination.
- Conduct risk assessments and maintain professional boundaries, ensuring health, safety and compliance with safeguarding policies.
Essential Criteria:
- Have an understanding of support needs and support planning.
- Have experience of risk assessing and risk management.
- Have accurate record keeping and computer skills.
- Confident in lone working and be a good team player.
- Have a flexible working approach to work.
Desirable:
- Experience within a supported housing setting
- Understanding of tenancy agreements
An enhanced DBS will be required and a car driver is required in case of occasional cover to other sites
