Are you an experienced Surveyor looking for a role where your technical expertise can genuinely improve people’s homes and communities? Hoop Housing is recruiting on behalf of an established social housing provider for a Surveyor with experience in damp, mould and condensation.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring homes are safe, compliant, accessible and fit for the future, while helping deliver high-quality services for residents.

 What you’ll be doing

  • Carrying out property inspections, condition and energy surveys
  • Diagnosing building defects and specifying appropriate remedial works
  • Managing housing hazards, disrepair and Damp, Mould & Condensation cases
  • Supporting property adaptations to help residents remain safe and independent
  • Managing refurbishment, remodelling and other building projects
  • Preparing specifications, tenders and contract documentation
  • Managing contractors, consultants, costs, quality and programmes
  • Providing expert technical advice on building and surveying matters
  • Working closely with residents, stakeholders and contractors
  • Supporting investment, asset management and decarbonisation programmes

 What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a confident, technically strong Surveyor who can combine professional judgement with excellent customer service.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Significant experience in a similar surveying/property role
  • Strong knowledge of building construction
  • Experience of tendering and contract administration
  • Experience managing building works, budgets and risk
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with tenants/residents
  • Level 4 qualification (or willingness to work towards it)

Experience within social housing would be highly advantageous.
