We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Team Leader to join a busy temporary accommodation service in Birmingham on an initial 3 month contract, with an immediate start available.

The Role

As Housing Team Leader, you will lead and support a team responsible for delivering a high quality housing management service to residents living in temporary accommodation. You will help ensure properties and residents are effectively managed while maintaining strong compliance and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support and manage a team of housing support officers.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of temporary accommodation.
• Ensure housing and tenancy related issues are dealt with promptly.
• Monitor team performance and service delivery
• Support staff with complex cases and resident issues.
• Monitor property standards, repairs and health & safety issues.

About You

• Previous experience in a housing team leader, housing management or temporary accommodation role.
• Strong knowledge of housing management processes and relevant legislation.
• Experience managing, supervising or supporting a housing team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage complex cases
• A proactive approach and strong problem solving skills.
• Experience working within a local authority or social housing environment is essential.
