We’re working with a growing UK-wide HR consultancy that provides practical, people-focused HR support to businesses across a wide range of sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for an organised, proactive and service-focused HR Administrator to join their central team. This is a varied position offering the chance to work closely with experienced HR professionals while supporting a diverse client base.
The role would suit either a HR administrator who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing accurate work and wants to develop their career within a consultancy environment, or someone that is at the start of their HR career ready to develop their hands on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll provide essential administrative support across a broad range of HR activities, helping ensure clients receive an efficient, professional and reliable service.
Working alongside HR Consultants and Advisors, you’ll have exposure to different businesses and a wide variety of HR processes, giving you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience across the employee lifecycle.
- Providing accurate and efficient HR administration across a portfolio of clients.
- Preparing and maintaining employment documentation, including contracts, policies, handbooks and employee letters.
- Reviewing and updating client documentation to reflect legislative changes and business requirements.
- Producing documentation relating to contractual changes, employee relations matters and other HR processes.
- Coordinating new starter administration, including contracts, references, pre-employment checks and onboarding paperwork.
- Supporting recruitment campaigns, including preparing adverts, reviewing applications, arranging interviews and communicating with candidates and clients.
- Providing administrative assistance to HR Consultants and Advisors with employee relations and other HR casework.
- Preparing meeting notes, supporting documentation and evidence packs.
- Acting as a reliable point of contact for clients regarding day-to-day HR administration.
- Monitoring shared inboxes and ensuring queries are dealt with promptly or escalated appropriately.
- Maintaining accurate client records, CRM information and internal systems.
- Managing and supporting client HR systems, developing strong system knowledge and becoming a key point of contact for users.
- Assisting with HR system demonstrations and supporting clients with system-related queries.
- Producing client reports covering workforce information such as absence, annual leave and turnover.
- Supporting internal projects, process improvements and wider administrative activities.
- Keeping up to date with developments in UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and ensuring appropriate data protection standards are followed.
- Providing additional administrative support to the wider consultancy team when required.
- Previous experience in an HR Administrator or similar HR support position is desirable.
- An understanding of HR administration and employee lifecycle processes.
- Experience handling confidential employee information.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence communicating with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Experience using HR and/or CRM systems.
- Experience with Breathe HR would be beneficial.
- An understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- The ability to recognise when an issue requires escalation.
- A proactive approach and genuine interest in developing your HR career.
- CIPD Level 3 or above, currently working towards a CIPD qualification, or equivalent HR experience.
