Our client has an opportunity for a HR Advisor to join them on a 12-month contract.
You will support the site HR team in their day-to-day activities, working closely with HR Management, Business Partners (HRBPs) and Talent Acquisition amongst others. The role will be varied and involve a wide range of operational topics and project activities within the HR scope.
Role: HR Advisor
Location: Stevenage, 3-4 days onsite per week
Hourly Rate: £22 per hour via an Umbrella company, inside IR35
Hours: Monday to Friday
Clearance: BPSS required prior to starting
Free parking is provided for this role in a local car park approximately fifteen minutes' walk from site.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide HR administrative, operational and project support to HR Business Partners & the wider UK HR team
- Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on day-to-day HR activities, as required by the HR Business Leads
- Administrative support to the onboarding, induction & exit processes
- Support to the Immigration and global mobility processes
- Operational support to employee and managers on recruitment process
- Day to day time, attendance & payroll support
- Support to Disciplinary & Grievance process
- Support with coordination of visits, room bookings and meeting coordination
- Assisting in creating and running HR events & processes
- Support to detached duty process and related activities
- Ad hoc data management coordination and support, e.g. file archiving, data provision & analysis i.e. audits, surveys, headcount reports, absence reports
- Responsibility for the coordination of the Long Service Award process
- Your role may involve some travel to other UK sites.
Requirements:
Essential
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate effectively with a diverse client group
- Experience in a similar role in a large-sc, ideally within Defence or Manufacturing/Engineering
- Strong teamwork and networking abilities
- Ability to challenge assumptions and use initiative
- Excellent organizational skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- Well-developed computer literacy skills within a Microsoft Office environment. Knowledge of Google Workspace, Gemini and Workday is an advantage.
