HR Advisor
Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term, potential to go permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Location: Sheffield with Hybrid Working

Elevation HR are partnering with a dynamic professional services business as they look to appoint a projects-based HR Advisor on a 12-month fixed term contract in Sheffield.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, this HR Advisor role will support Business Services across a combination of day-to-day HR activity, people projects and change initiatives. You’ll work closely with managers and the wider HR team, providing practical advice across the employee lifecycle while also helping to deliver projects and improvements that support the wider business. As a HR Advisor, you will be responsible for: 

  • Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers across a broad range of employee lifecycle matters, including performance, absence, family leave, flexible working, secondments and wellbeing.
  • Support managers with employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance matters, working with specialist teams where appropriate.
  • Support the delivery of HR projects, change initiatives and process improvements, coordinating activity, monitoring progress and keeping stakeholders updated.
  • Use HR data and insight to support reporting, decision-making and wider people initiatives, as well as supporting key annual activities such as performance reviews, workforce planning and reward.
  • Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders, acting as a trusted HR partner and providing commercially focused advice, coaching and challenge where needed.

We’re looking for an experienced HR generalist who is confident working across both advisory and project-based activity including:

  • Strong, up-to-date generalist HR knowledge and experience across a range of employee relations matters.
  • Experience supporting HR projects, organisational change or process improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills, with the confidence to coach, influence and challenge managers.
  • A practical and commercially minded approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • The ability to build credible relationships and provide clear, pragmatic HR advice at all levels.
