HR Advisor

FERROVIAL CONSTRUCTION (UK) LIMITED

This role is responsible for supporting HR operational activity, including employee lifecycle processes, recruitment , personnel administration, HR reporting, employee relations, industrial relations support and workforce coordination. The role will work closely with managers, employees, project teams and the wider HR function to ensure HR processes are delivered accurately, consistently and in line with business needs. Recruitment and resourcing activities will be an important part of the role, with a focus on supporting vacancy progression, interview coordination, onboarding readiness and regular engagement with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team. Other duties include but are not limited to:

Provide general HR operational support to managers, employees and key project stakeholders.

Support workforce coordination by helping managers understand current and future staffing requirements, priorities and operational needs across Heathrow and related project teams.

Support recruitment coordination as a key part of the role, including vacancy updates, interview scheduling, candidate feedback follow-up, offer support and onboarding preparation.

Prepare and maintain HR, workforce and recruitment-related reporting

Support employees and managers throughout the entire employee life cycle by ensuring all HR process actions are successfully completed and managed in Ferrovial systems.

Collaborate frequently with project teams, managers, Talent Acquisition and the wider Company HR team to support effective HR service delivery.

Advise on HR related queries from managers, employees and external contacts and resolving as appropriate.

Support the probationary and performance review processes.

Coordinate recruitment activity as part of the HR service, including vacancy progression, interview scheduling, candidate feedback follow-up, offer support and onboarding preparation.

Work with managers to understand staffing requirements, workforce movements and recruitment priorities, supporting planning activity where needed.

Maintain accurate employee and recruitment-related information in Workday and relevant trackers, providing regular updates on key HR activity, vacancy status, candidate progress, joiners and onboarding readiness.

Provide HR data and reports, including headcount, vacancies, joiners and leavers, absence and overtime claims.

Update the HR systems, ensuring that staff movements and changes are captured in a timely manner.

Provide first-line employee relations support on routine matters, escalating complex disciplinary, grievance or performance management cases to the Head of HR - Projects as appropriate.

Support industrial relations and supply chain audit activity where required, in line with industry working rule agreements and client requirements.

Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvements and implementation of AI across our work and processes.

Promoting company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contacts.

Ensure smooth implementation of global HR initiatives (supporting payroll migration, individual development programs etc.).

Qualifications / Experience

  • HR experience, ideally within an industrial, heavy industry, infrastructure or project-based environment.
  • CIPD Qualification
  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes, HR administration, workforce coordination and recruitment activity, including vacancy and onboarding coordination.
  • Experience working with hiring managers and/or Talent Acquisition teams to support recruitment processes and candidate progression.
