£30,750 per annum
36.25 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 08:45am - 5:00pm
Hybrid Working | Minimum 3 days per week in the office
12-Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Hales Group are recruiting for an HR Advisor to join our well-established client in Southwold on a maternity cover contract. As HR Advisor, you will support managers and employees across a broad range of people-related matters, providing professional guidance, coaching and practical HR support to help drive employee engagement and business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing advice and guidance on policies, procedures and best practice.
  • Manage employee relations casework, including absence, disciplinary, grievance and TUPE matters.
  • Support managers with investigations, fact-finding, formal meetings and performance management activities.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and employee retention initiatives.
  • Coach and develop managers to build confidence in people management and HR processes.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, systems and documentation.
  • Manage employee exit processes and ensure smooth offboarding.
  • Coordinate, promote and occasionally deliver learning and development activities.
  • Produce HR reports, data analysis and insights to support decision-making.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous generalist HR experience within a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident advising and influencing managers at various levels.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Professional, discreet and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
