Key Responsibilities
HR Administration
- Managed HR administration processes across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, and offboarding activities.
- Maintained accurate and confidential employee records within the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Produced regular HR reports, data analysis, and people metrics to support business decision-making.

- Supported HR projects and process improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of HR systems, procedures, and employee experience.
Employee Relations
- Acted as a first point of contact for employee relations matters, providing practical and commercially focused HR guidance to managers and employees.
- Managed a range of employee relations cases, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability, and conduct matters.
- Advised and coached managers on the fair and consistent application of company policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Supported investigations, hearings, consultations, and associated documentation, ensuring compliance with internal processes and best practice.
Performance & Probation Management
- Coordinated end-to-end probationary review processes, ensuring key milestones and deadlines were effectively managed.
- Provided guidance to managers on probation expectations, review meetings, extensions, documentation requirements, and outcomes.
- Maintained accurate records of performance and probation decisions, ensuring appropriate communication and record-keeping.
Manager Support & Coaching
- Delivered first-line HR support and coaching to managers on a wide range of people-related matters.
- Promoted consistency, best practice, and effective people management across the organisation.
- Developed manager capability and confidence through practical advice and support on employee issues and HR processes.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensured HR activities were conducted in line with employment legislation, organisational policies, and internal governance requirements.

Profile
A successful HR Advisor should have:
- Previous experience in a human resources role within a similar industry.
- CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification
- Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment law.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office tools and using an HRIS.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Ability to work in Manchester full time.
Job Offer
- Permanent equivalent salary between £35,000 - £40,000 dependent on the level of experience.
