Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor join our client based in Oldbury, this role if offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 3 days a week onsite

The HR Advisor will support the HR team, providing professional HR advice and guidance to both managers and employees. The appointed candidate will also support the research, development and implementation of new and revised HR policies and procedures.

The duties of the HR Advisor will include

  • Being responsible for maintaining HR Mailbox and taking employee relations call, resolving day to day HR queries, in line with policy, procedure, contractual terms and best practice
  • Supporting and managing the delivery of key projects linked to the organisation's people strategy
  • Researching, developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Providing professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on employment matters, terms and conditions, and HR policies
  • Coordinating sickness absence management, including reporting, occupational health referrals, and formal absence management processes
  • Supporting managers with restructuring, redundancy and organisational change processes
  • Providing guidance and support to the HR Administration team during workload peaks and management absence
  • Supporting organisational development, learning and development initiatives, and employee engagement activities
  • Supporting HR and operations with audit preparation and actions
  • Being responsible for maintaining HR Mailbox and taking employee relations call, resolving day to day HR queries, in line with policy, procedure, contractual terms and best practice
  • Supporting facilitation in the development of line managers, to increase their people and management skills in line with policy, procedure, and best practice
  • Being esponsible for processing all monthly payroll items for all employees in line with policy and procedure; meeting payroll deadlines.

The HR Advisor will ideally have:

  • Experience within a similar position
  • Experience manging a varied workload, with conflicting deadlines
  • Experience and knowledge of HR policies, procedures and ACAS best practice
  • Knowledge and application of Employment law
  • Experience within the public sector would be beneficial

The HR Advisor will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
