HR Advisor in Coventry, West Midlands

SF Partners is recruiting an HR Advisor for a business based in Coventry. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you'll support managers and employees across the employee lifecycle, combining hands-on employee relations advice with recruitment, HR administration and people projects.
This role would suit someone who can guide managers through difficult conversations, build effective working relationships and keep day-to-day HR processes running smoothly.

Salary: £40,000
Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday-Friday

The role
- Advise managers and employees on employee relations, performance management and HR policies.
- Manage disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
- Support recruitment, from preparing job descriptions and adverts through to screening and interviewing candidates.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction for new starters.
- Contribute to employee engagement, training and development, and performance appraisal initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records and produce HR reports to inform decisions.
- Help review and update policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect UK employment law.

About you
You'll bring HR advisory experience from an operational environment, a CIPD qualification and a sound understanding of UK employment law. You should be comfortable supporting managers with employee relations matters and explaining HR processes clearly and practically.
Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive conversations are essential, alongside a thoughtful approach to problem-solving.
