HR Associate – Dundee – Temp to Perm – to start ASAP – £25-27k dependant on experience
Our client who are a leading global manufacturer are seeking an experienced HR Administrator to join their team on a temp-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and process-driven HR professional who enjoys improving ways of working, supporting employees, and making a positive impact within a busy operational environment.
This role will play a key part in delivering an effective HR service, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, systems-led enhancements, and ensuring accurate people data management across HR and payroll systems.
You will be responsible for providing first-line HR support, resolving employee queries, supporting recruitment and onboarding activity, maintaining HR records, and assisting with payroll and compliance processes.
Employee Relations
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns, identifying themes and supporting proactive solutions.
- Support and manage employee relations processes, including investigations, grievances, disputes, and disciplinary procedures.
- Assist with flexible working requests in partnership with line managers.
- Support the implementation of service level agreements to manage expectations and improve HR delivery.
- Monitor and manage probationary review processes for employees.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support recruitment activity, including interview coordination, pre-employment checks, contract administration, and onboarding arrangements.
- Maintain accurate vacancy records within HR systems.
- Support HR Partners with recruitment activity and appointment processes.
- Ensure new starters are accurately added to HR and payroll systems.
- Maintain onboarding materials and internal communications to provide a positive employee experience.
- Support internal communications relating to new hires and employee movements.
Attendance & Shift Management
- Monitor attendance, absence, and overtime records.
- Ensure sickness absence processes are followed in line with company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee absence records and highlight trends or required actions to managers.
- Support managers with absence management plans.
- Provide absence-related reporting, KPIs, and workforce metrics.
- Assist with training employees and managers on time and attendance systems.
Training & Development
- Support the coordination of internal and external training activities.
- Assist with organising and facilitating training sessions where appropriately qualified or experienced.
Payroll & Compliance Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information within HR systems.
- Support monthly payroll processes, including attendance, leave, and overtime inputs.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Track productivity and behavioural metrics.
- Support wider HR projects, including engagement initiatives, change management, career development, and global HR programmes.
About You
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within an HR Administration role and be confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be highly organised, process-focused, and passionate about improving HR practices and employee experiences.
You will ideally have:
Around 3 years’ experience in an HR Administration role.
Experience supporting employee relations processes.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
A flexible, hands-on approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience using HR systems and strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of HR platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Kronos, or Workday would be advantageous.
A degree in Business or HR, and/or CIPD qualification, would be desirable.
What’s On Offer
Competitive salary of £25,000–£27,000 depending on experience.
Temp-to-permanent opportunity with a global organisation.
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
