Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a valued client in the recruitment of an experienced HR Business Partner based in Glasgow.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys operating across both the strategic and operational aspects of HR. Working closely with senior leaders and managers, you will play a key role in driving people initiatives, supporting organisational objectives, and delivering a proactive, high-quality HR service across the business.

The Role

You will act as a trusted partner to stakeholders, providing expert guidance on all areas of the employee lifecycle while contributing to the development and delivery of the wider people strategy.

This is a varied generalist position where no two days are the same, balancing hands-on operational HR support with longer-term strategic projects and organisational development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers and senior leaders to provide pragmatic HR advice and support.
  • Support the delivery of people strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance issues.
  • Drive talent management, succession planning and employee development initiatives.
  • Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Support organisational change programmes and business transformation projects.
  • Contribute to the development and review of HR policies, procedures and best practice.
  • Coach and develop managers to build leadership capability and enhance employee engagement.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and retention strategies across the business.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.

About You

We are keen to speak with experienced HR professionals who can demonstrate strong business partnering capability and a broad generalist HR background.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar role.
  • Strong generalist HR knowledge across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases.
  • Experience influencing and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives to business outcomes.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • Strong communication, coaching and problem-solving skills.
