Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a valued client in the recruitment of an experienced HR Business Partner based in Glasgow.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys operating across both the strategic and operational aspects of HR. Working closely with senior leaders and managers, you will play a key role in driving people initiatives, supporting organisational objectives, and delivering a proactive, high-quality HR service across the business.
The Role
You will act as a trusted partner to stakeholders, providing expert guidance on all areas of the employee lifecycle while contributing to the development and delivery of the wider people strategy.
This is a varied generalist position where no two days are the same, balancing hands-on operational HR support with longer-term strategic projects and organisational development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with managers and senior leaders to provide pragmatic HR advice and support.
- Support the delivery of people strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Lead on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance issues.
- Drive talent management, succession planning and employee development initiatives.
- Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Support organisational change programmes and business transformation projects.
- Contribute to the development and review of HR policies, procedures and best practice.
- Coach and develop managers to build leadership capability and enhance employee engagement.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and retention strategies across the business.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
About You
We are keen to speak with experienced HR professionals who can demonstrate strong business partnering capability and a broad generalist HR background.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar role.
- Strong generalist HR knowledge across the full employee lifecycle.
- Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases.
- Experience influencing and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives to business outcomes.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
- Strong communication, coaching and problem-solving skills.
