The Opportunity
Our Client is one of the World leaders in the manufacture and Tier 1 supply of high-technology Multimedia products for the Automotive sector. Given a slight restructuring, we are now seeking an experienced HR Business Partner, who ideally resides locally in Buckinghamshire, or nearby, on a permanent and part-time basis (2 – 2.5 days per week). This role is available on a hybrid working basis, but will also require certain site presence, and is paying circa £48K - £52K pa pro-rata, together with full benefits.
The Role
Working within a team of approximately 50 onsite, as their HR Business Partner, you will provide strategic HR leadership and expert business partnering to the UK and European business, supporting organisational performance, business transformation and people strategy. This role focuses on developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives, leading change programmes and providing guidance to the management team while ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and alignment with European HR strategy.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
- To provide high-level strategic HR support to the Managing Director and line management team. Working closely with European HR colleagues, the role translates business objectives into people strategies that drive organisational effectiveness, employee engagement and long-term business success.
- This position is primarily project-based and advisory in nature, focusing on organisational development, change management, workforce planning, leadership capability, succession planning, policy development, revitalization of the office and continuous improvement.
- It is not expected that this role will undertake routine HR administration or day-to-day operational HR activities, which are managed separately within the business or by external providers.
You will have the following qualifications & experience
- Should preferably be educated with a Degree or equivalent professional qualification and ideally be CIPD qualified and a Chartered Member (MCIPD/FCIPD), although plenty of relevant experience might be alternatively considered.
- You will have significant experience operating as a HR Business Partner, or in an equivalent strategic HR role.
- You will have demonstrable experience supporting leadership teams.
- A strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice is required.
- Will be experienced in leading organisational change and transformation projects.
- Should have experience in organisational design, workforce planning and talent management.
- You will have a proven ability to influence and coach senior stakeholders.
It’s great if you also have the following
- Experience working within an international or matrix organisation is desirable.
- Automotive industry knowledge, or a passion for, would be nice to have, but is not essential.
