Working closely with senior leaders, you will play a key role in shaping workforce strategy, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring the organisation attracts, develops and retains the talent required to support future growth. Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Business Partnering
- Partner with managers and leadership teams to align people strategies with business objectives.
- Provide expert advice and guidance across the full employee lifecycle.
- Support organisational change, talent management and workforce planning initiatives.
- Analyse people data and trends to inform business decisions and improve organisational performance.
- Coach and develop managers in people management best practices.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead and support recruitment activity across a range of roles, including hard-to-fill and specialist positions.
- Develop proactive talent attraction strategies to build robust talent pipelines.
- Design role profiles and workforce plans aligned to future business requirements.
- Identify skills gaps and support succession planning initiatives across the organisation.
- Work collaboratively with leaders to forecast future hiring needs and develop recruitment strategies accordingly.
Talent Retention & Development
- Develop and implement retention strategies to improve employee engagement and reduce turnover.
- Support career development frameworks and internal progression opportunities.
- Contribute to talent reviews and succession planning processes.
- Promote learning and development initiatives that support organisational capability growth.
Employer Branding & Recruitment Marketing
- Enhance the organisation's employer brand through innovative recruitment campaigns.
- Utilise social media platforms and digital recruitment channels to attract high-quality candidates.
- Create engaging recruitment marketing content to increase candidate attraction and awareness.
- Monitor recruitment market trends and competitor activity to ensure best practice.
Early Careers & Future Talent
- Build and maintain relationships with universities, colleges and training providers.
- Support the development and management of apprenticeship programmes and early careers initiatives.
- Create pathways to attract emerging talent into the organisation.
- Represent the organisation at careers fairs, networking events and educational partnerships.
Innovation & Future of Recruitment
- Stay informed on emerging HR and recruitment technologies, including AI and automation tools.
- Explore opportunities to improve recruitment efficiency and candidate experience through innovative approaches.
- Support the responsible adoption of AI-driven recruitment solutions where appropriate.
Skills & Experience Required
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience operating in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar role.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
- Demonstrable experience supporting strategic workforce planning and talent management initiatives.
- Experience recruiting for hard-to-fill, technical or specialist vacancies.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment marketing, social media recruitment and employer branding.
- Experience designing and implementing succession planning and retention programmes.
- Understanding of apprenticeship schemes, graduate programmes and early careers recruitment.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven approach with the ability to analyse and interpret people metrics.
Desirable Experience
- Experience developing talent attraction strategies in a competitive market.
- Knowledge of AI applications and emerging recruitment technologies.
- Experience building partnerships with educational institutions and external talent networks.
- Exposure to employer brand development and candidate experience improvement projects.
