Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our client based in Derbyshire. This role is offered on a full time, hybrid basis with an expectation of a minimum of 2 days a week onsite

The ideal HR Business Partner will partner with leaders across the organisation, providing expert HR advice and solutions that support business objectives, improve organisational performance and enable positive employee outcomes. The role leads on complex people matters, organisational change, policy development and leadership capability, ensuring an effective and professional HR service.

The duties of the HR Business Partner will include:

  • Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic and operational HR advice across a broad range of people matters
  • Lead on complex employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, attendance and organisational change matters
  • Coach and influence managers to build leadership capability and ensure the consistent application of HR policies and procedures
  • Develop, review and implement HR policies and practices in line with employment legislation and organisational requirements
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment, organisational redesign and change programmes to improve organisational effectiveness
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, employee representatives and trade unions to support positive employee relations
  • Produce HR reports, data analysis and recommendations to support informed decision-making and risk management
  • Lead and contribute to HR projects focused on service improvement, organisational development and people initiatives
  • Design and deliver management training, guidance and toolkits to strengthen people management capability
  • Champion equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice
  • Provide guidance on reward, pensions, contractual matters and workforce policies whilst maintaining high standards of governance and confidentiality
  • Support the delivery of a proactive, customer-focused HR service that drives performance, engagement and continuous improvement

The HR Business Partner will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience within the public sector
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or qualified by experience
  • Extensive experience of providing expert advice and guidance on employee relations.

The HR Business Partner will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
