This is a hands-on role for an experienced HR professional with a strong background in restructures, redundancies and consultation processes, who can confidently partner with senior leaders and managers to deliver fair, robust and legally compliant change.

You'll play a key role in guiding the organisation through change while balancing organisational objectives with employee experience, engagement and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders and managers to plan and deliver organisational change, including restructures, redundancies and transformation programmes.
  • Provide expert advice on change management, employee relations and consultation processes.
  • Develop and support effective consultation strategies, ensuring employees and representatives are meaningfully engaged throughout the process.
  • Produce change documentation including business cases, letters, FAQs, guidance and communication materials.
  • Coach managers through complex and sensitive change and employee relations matters.
  • Provide insight and constructive challenge around employment risk and complex ER decisions.
  • Support communication and engagement activity to ensure change is delivered clearly, consistently and transparently.
  • Analyse workforce data and provide meaningful insight to inform decision-making and change strategies.
  • Coach and develop managers to strengthen their change leadership and wider people management capability.

About You

We're looking for an experienced HR professional who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience leading the HR element of organisational change, particularly restructures and redundancies.
  • Strong experience delivering employee consultation processes from end to end.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and current HR best practice.
  • Extensive ER case management experience, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability and attendance matters.
  • The confidence and credibility to partner with, advise and constructively challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Experience coaching managers through complex people matters and organisational change.
  • Strong project management, communication and organisational skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience.
  • The ability to travel regularly across the organisation's operating region, with access to appropriate transport.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within the charity, not-for-profit or voluntary sector.
  • Experience working within complex, values-led organisations undergoing significant change.
