Our client is a luxury, high-end design studio specialising in beautifully considered interiors for private clients and prestigious projects.
The studio has built a strong reputation for quality, creativity and attention to detail, working closely with clients to create elegant, refined and highly personalised spaces.
As a growing creative business, they are now looking to appoint a hands-on HR Executive / HR Advisor to support the continued development of the studio, its people, culture and internal HR processes.
The Role
This is a broad and varied HR role, suited to someone who enjoys being involved in all areas of HR within a smaller, creative business environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day HR function, helping to ensure the studio has clear processes, compliant policies and a positive employee experience.
This role would suit someone who is confident working independently, enjoys building strong relationships across a business, and is happy to take ownership of both administrative and advisory HR duties.
Key Responsibilities
The role will include:
- Managing onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintaining and updating HR policies, procedures and compliance documents
- Supporting with CIPD-compliant HR processes
- Benefits administration
- Supporting performance management processes
- Providing employee relations support
- Assisting with recruitment coordination and recruitment strategy
- Providing HR guidance and coaching to managers
- Supporting salary benchmarking exercises
- Coordinating learning and development initiatives
- Supporting culture, engagement and employee wellbeing initiatives
- Assisting leadership with organisational design and people planning
- Ensuring HR records, documentation and internal processes are kept up to date
- Hybrid Model of working with expecation of 3 days per week in the studio
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous HR experience within a similar-sized company, ideally around 20–50 employees.
Experience within a creative, agency, interiors, architecture, luxury design or design-led environment would be highly beneficial, although this is not essential.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, organised and confident working across a broad HR remit. They must be comfortable operating independently and supporting managers and employees across the business.
This role is likely to suit someone currently working as an HR Executive, HR Advisor, People Advisor or similar.
Candidates with an HR Manager title may also be considered, provided they are comfortable working in a hands-on, operational role rather than a senior strategic or director-level position.
Requirements
- Previous HR experience within a similar-sized business, ideally around 20–50 employees
- Comfortable working independently across all areas of HR
- Strong understanding of HR processes, policies and compliance
- Hands-on and operational approach
- Confident supporting managers and employees
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- CIPD qualification completed or currently in progress
- Ideally CIPD Level 3 completed or being worked towards
- A genuine interest in continuing to develop within HR
- Experience within a creative, agency, interiors, architecture or luxury design environment would be advantageous
