Hays Human Resources are delighted to be partnering with an international manufacturing organisation, to recruit an experienced HR Manager to oversee their UK operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business where you will play a key role supporting the leadership team whilst shaping and delivering the people agenda across the UK workforce.
This role offers a broad and varied remit with significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence both operational and strategic people initiatives.
Start date: October 5th
The Role
Reporting in to the Head of HR, operating in a stand-alone capacity, you will act as the primary HR lead for the UK business, partnering closely with senior leaders and managers across multiple functions.
This is a true generalist position offering exposure across the full employee life-cycle, combining hands-on operational delivery with opportunities to contribute to wider HR projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with the UK leadership team to deliver people-focused solutions and commercial HR support.
- Managing employee relations matters, including organisational change and restructuring activity.
- Supporting absence management and broader employee wellbeing initiatives.
- Leading end-to-end recruitment activity across the business.
- Overseeing payroll-related processes, ensuring accuracy and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Coaching and supporting managers, building long-lasting relationships.
- Administering employee benefits and reward processes.
- Acting as a key stakeholder for the global HR system and employee data management.
- Driving process improvements and supporting ongoing HR transformation initiatives.
About You
We are keen to speak with experienced HR professionals who thrive in autonomous environments and enjoy building strong relationships across a business. You will bring:
- Previous experience as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner or standalone HR lead.
- Strong generalist HR knowledge across all aspects of HR, including employee relations, recruitment, payroll and benefits.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with confidence working with spreadsheets, HR systems and employee data.
- A flexible mindset and willingness to get involved in all aspects of the HR function.

- Salary of £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience
- Car allowance of approximately £540 per month
