Make a meaningful impact on our people and our organisation

Are you ready for a role where your HR expertise really matters?

Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting managers and helping employees thrive?

At Comfort Care Services, our people are central to the quality of care and support we provide. We are looking for a proactive and approachable HR Officer to join our growing HR & Training team. This is an opportunity to take on a varied role where your advice, judgement and relationship-building skills will make a genuine difference across the organisation.

Your role

Working closely with managers and employees, you will provide practical, professional HR advice across a broad range of people matters. You will support employee relations cases, help managers resolve workplace concerns fairly and effectively, and ensure that HR documentation, policies and procedures remain accurate and aligned with employment legislation and company requirements.

You will also monitor workforce information, compliance and HR metrics, turning data into meaningful insights that support operational decision-making. As the organisation continues to grow, you will contribute to workforce planning, organisational design, succession planning, employee development and retention initiatives.

This is not simply an administrative HR position. You will be a trusted point of contact for managers, offering balanced guidance while helping to create positive, consistent and high-performing working environments.

What you’ll bring

You will already have experience working as an HR Officer, HR Advisor or HR Assistant, with practical exposure to employee relations matters and the preparation of HR policies, procedures and employment documentation.

You will be confident communicating with employees and managers at different levels, able to manage sensitive matters professionally and comfortable balancing several priorities. Strong organisation, attention to detail and sound judgement will be essential.

You will also need good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, together with the ability to interpret workforce data and present useful insights. A CIPD qualification, HR degree or experience within a fast-paced, multi-site organisation would be an advantage.

As the role supports different operational areas, you should have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or be able to travel regularly between operational sites.

The person we’re looking for

You will be positive, resilient and solutions-focused, with the confidence to build credible working relationships throughout the organisation. You will be comfortable working independently while remaining a supportive and collaborative member of the wider team.

Most importantly, you will care about getting things right. You will understand the importance of balancing employee experience, operational needs and HR compliance, and you will be motivated by the opportunity to improve how an organisation supports and develops its people.

What we offer

This is a permanent, full-time role with a predominantly Monday-to-Friday working pattern. You will join a supportive and collaborative environment where you can influence people practices, contribute ideas and develop your HR career as the organisation continues to grow.

The position also includes participation in a rotational on-call arrangement, including weekends, to support business needs.

Ready to take the next step?

If you are looking for a rewarding and varied HR role where your contribution will be valued, we would love to hear from you.

Apply today and help us support, develop and empower the people who make our services possible.

Equality, diversity and inclusion

Comfort Care Services is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. We welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates from all backgrounds.

Appointment will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks and confirmation of the right to work in the UK.
