As an HR Officer, you’ll be joining a growing organisation with a clear mission of making a difference, one home at a time. Working across private sector leasing, supported living and charitable housing initiatives, you’ll report directly to the Group Managing Director while receiving additional support from an experienced external HR Consultant. I’d love to hear from anyone with experience as an HR Officer, HR Advisor, People Advisor, HR Coordinator or experienced HR Administrator who has strong generalist HR experience and is ready to take the next step in their career.
In this HR Officer position, you will be:
• Leading recruitment activity across the group, from drafting job adverts through to onboarding
• Managing safer recruitment processes, including DBS checks, references and right-to-work checks
• Providing first-line HR advice to managers on performance, conduct, absence, probation and wellbeing
• Supporting disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes
• Maintaining accurate HR records and personnel files using Breathe HR
• Supporting the review and implementation of HR policies and procedures
• Maintaining training matrices and supporting employee development opportunities
• Supporting apprenticeship programmes and liaising with training providers
• Providing HR and PA support to the Group Managing Director and senior management team
I’d love to speak to anyone who has:
• A CIPD Level 3 qualification in HR Practice or an equivalent recognised qualification
• A minimum of two years’ generalist HR experience covering recruitment, employee relations and HR administration
• Sound knowledge of UK employment law, the Equality Act 2010 and the ACAS Code of Practice
• Experience managing safer recruitment processes, including DBS and reference checks
• Experience supporting disciplinary, grievance or performance management processes
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to advise managers and employees at all levels
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
• Experience using an HRIS platform such as Breathe HR or similar
• Previous experience within housing, supported living, care or another regulated social sector environment would be advantageous

This opportunity offers an annual salary of £35,000
Travel & Location
This role offers the opportunity to work across a growing group of companies delivering housing, supported living and community-focused services. The successful candidate will provide shared HR support across all three brands, working closely with managers and senior leadership across the organisation.
