Job Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: 10 hours per day (Monday to Friday, with weekend work as required)
About the Role
IMECH Engineering is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team on the ACCIONA North London Heat and Power Project (NLHPP).
This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) developments, supporting the safe delivery of a major industrial infrastructure project.
Working alongside the Construction and Site Management teams, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environmental performance across the project.
Key Responsibilities
Promote a positive Health, Safety & Environmental culture.
Ensure compliance with UK legislation, company procedures and client requirements.
Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations.
Support the preparation and implementation of RAMS.
Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks.
Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) activities.
Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe acts.
Maintain HSE records and prepare reports.
Monitor subcontractor compliance.
Support emergency response planning and behavioural safety initiatives.
Essential Requirements
NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
IOSH Managing Safely.
Previous HSE experience on construction, industrial or EPC projects.
Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
Experience carrying out inspections, audits and incident investigations.
Excellent communication, organisational and reporting skills.
Strong leadership and influencing abilities.
Good Microsoft Office skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure construction environment while maintaining high safety standards.
Ability to prioritise workload and deliver project objectives within demanding deadlines.
Desirable Experience
Previous experience on industrial construction projects.
Waste-to-Energy (EfW/ERF), Energy from Waste or Power Generation project experience.
IEMA qualification or equivalent.
ISO 45001 awareness or auditing experience.
IOSH Membership (TechIOSH, GradIOSH or above).
