HSE Advisor – Waste Management & Metal Recycling

EXPERIENCED HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR, WITH STRONG HEALTH AND SAFETY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR MULTISITE OPERATION IN THE WASTE MANAGEMENT & RECYCLING SECTOR

TITLE: Health Safety & Environmental Advisor – Waste Management & Metal Recycling

SALARY: £42,500 plus pension 
    
LOCATION: North West – you may be located in Chester, Wrexham, Mold,  Ruthin and surrounding areas 

YOU WILL HAVE BEEN AN: Health & Safety Manager, HSE Manager, SHEQ Manager, HSEQ Manager, QHSE Manager, Compliance Manager, SHE Manager

YOU WILL HAVE WORKED IN A SECTOR WITH MECHANICAL MATERIAL PRICESSING SUCH AS: Waste Management, Recycling, Aggregates, Quarry, Landfill, Anaerobic Digestion, In-Vessel Composting, Skip Hire etc. 

ROLE: Health Safety & Environmental Advisor – Waste Management & Metal Recycling

•    Previous experience in an HSEQ, HSE, SHEQ, or similar compliance-focused role.
•    Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality legislation.
•    Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
•    Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organisation.
•    Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
•    Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites

EXPERIENCE: Health Safety & Environmental Advisor – Waste Management & Metal Recycling
•    Experience working within recycling, waste management, metals recovery, manufacturing, or other industrial environments.
•    Previous experience working with or alongside EA or Natural Resources Wales.
•    Knowledge of environmental permitting regulations.
•    IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
•    WAMITAB qualification or willingness to obtain one.
•    Experience maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
